How Negative Publicity Helps Sales

Studies show that some negative feedback actually helps business. People are subconsciously suspicious if every single customer experience is 100 percent positive. They know it is unlikely. You may have had that feeling when you see an Amazon book with 40 5-star ratings 1 week after it is published, and no 4-star or lower ratings.

The key is the owner/seller must answer negative feedback with explanations or even thanks, and show how they have addressed the comments. This has shown to drive higher sales than pure positive feedback.
