Should I hire a USA-based copywriter? I get this question a lot. Some people wonder if U.S. based writers offer better English writing than writers from other parts of the world. The truth is that you can hire good English writers from all over the world. It really comes down to the individual writer.

Some writers in Brazil and India write more conversational English than some writers in the United States. And there are many American ex-pats in Japan and other countries that love to write as their main income or as a sideline. Both of these types of writers are excellent choices.

The question is not so much writing per se, but cultural understanding. Just as if an American would not understand the culture in Germany as well as a native German, much of the colloquial expressions and phraseology in America is best communicated by people in the United States.

So, the real question is not so much should you hire a USA-based content writer. The real question is can the writers you employ write in the language and tone that the people that buy your products and services use. The closer you can match your writing to the communication style of your prospects, the better off you are.
